‘The room with cameras’

This morning, I visited Damon Prison in Upper Al-Karmel Al-Silib to meet with prisoner Hanaa Haytham Ismail Hammad (born 07.02.2008) from Al-Aroub/Hebron, an eleventh-grade science student at Al-Aroub Secondary School for Girls.

Hana is in Room 1 with the minor Sally Sadaka (the room has cameras, sir).

I began by asking her to convey my regards to Sally and Tasnim Odeh.

Say hello to my mother, I am fine, strong, and peace be upon Hamouda. Say hello to all my brothers, I miss them a lot, and my friend will be the first one at the checkpoint, and my mother opens the Qur'an, Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 111.

I started memorising the Quran.

Hana is leaving, bring some sweets, cola and desserts with you, don't forget the Eid meat so I can go!

She told me about her cooking skills; kabsa, mansaf, ouzi and shawarma.

I was arrested on 09.06.2025, "three in the morning, before dawn, lots of soldiers, they beat me, threatened me with my brothers and so on, took me to the police station for 10 days, they told me they were taking me to the Negev and Majido, and I arrived at Damoun.

The cell had three rooms with a bathroom, less than an hour. I have a spinal deviation and I take painkillers, but they suppressed me with Saly several times. The paramedic would not give us medicine even though I asked the court for it.

I asked for a message to Shirin, Yasmin, Karam, Mervat and Shahd Darwish, who wants a message from her family.

The blanket is short and torn, and I only have one set of clothes.

Mother: Don't cry and don't worry about me. Stay strong.

I assured them about the clinic.
