‘The Creative One’

Immediately after meeting Tasnim today at Damon Prison in Upper Carmel, prisoner Lina Muhammad Ramadan (Mukhtasab) and Zuz (born 14.04.1990) from Hebron, mother of Zayna, Laith, Juman and Yaqoot, kindergarten and primary school teacher/private school/Hebron, appeared.

She was delighted to hear news of her family, especially the new pregnancies (she asked to convey her congratulations), and cried upon hearing the news of her mother and brother Nafez (a released prisoner) being sent back on their way to Hajj (understandable, as my mother is the mother of the martyr Mahdi Al-Mukhtasib?). She asked me to convey her regards to everyone, especially her parents, her sisters Iman, Ayat and Nafuz, her mother-in-law, her husband, her sisters-in-law and her mother-in-law's daughters.

‘My situation is excellent, I'm the creative one in the department, I give natural massages to all the girls, I do hair courses and we solve every problem.’

She told me about her arrest on 02.04.2025. They took her to the Kiryat Arba police station (accompanied by Maisoun Masharqa), and from there to Beit Shemesh, to the Miskobiya (22 days), to the hated Sharon (one night) and to Damon.

We are in Room 5, eight girls in the room. The situation is very bad. The heat is very high, the lights are on all the time, and we get half an hour of water for three rooms, including the bathroom. (with Maysar Haddibat, Shirin al-Hamamra, Islam Halabi – I told her about Saad's graduation, Shimaa Abu Ghali – I told her about her son Omar, Asil Hammad – I told her about Iliya and the nursery, Ruba Dar Nasser and Iman Shuamra – I told her about her son Youssef).

I received greetings from the women of Damoun, and Shatila's message made me laugh: ‘May God reward you with good, Professor Hassan. I don't want dresses, I want paper money.’

And messages from Karam Musa, Banan, Karam, Walaa, and Maisoun.

She asked me to convey her greetings to her children, ‘I love them very much and dream of them often,’ and to all her family members and friends. She said to Batoul, ‘I don't have any paper or pens, but I'll come and talk to you and we'll write about the experience together. Your aunt is strong.’

When we parted, she said: ‘My health is excellent, and I don't need any medicine. I'm ready.’
